It is used against: couch grass (at 15-30 kg active equivalent/ha wild oats (at 7.8 kg/ha) prior to planting kale, peas or sugar beet. Organic synthesis, medicine, pharmacy, herbicides TCA is an effective soil sterilant used for perennial weed grass control on noncropland and stubble. Used selectively to control seedling grasses and some broadleaf weeds in sugar beets, sugarcane, and oilseed rape. TCA acts principally through the soil and application to the soil, but also causes foliar response at nonselective rates. TCA will inhibit seed germination and plant growth for 60 days or longer.

Drinking Water Impact REPORTED THAT NEGLIGIBLE CONCN OF TCA WOULD REMAIN IN WATER AFTER THE WATER TRAVELED A DISTANCE OF 32.2-40.2 KM, BUT THAT THE LOW CONCN LIKELY WOULD NOT BE HAZARDOUS TO CROPS OR ANIMALS. MAX CONCN OF TCA WERE DETECTED WITHIN THE FIRST HR OF WATER FLOW, & NO TCA WAS DETECTED AFTER 48 HR @ 14.5 KM BELOW THE TREATMENT SITE .
