| Abstract | A measured volume of sample, approximately 1 liter, is adjusted to pH 4-4.5 and solvent extracted with methylene chloride using a separatory funnel. The methylene chloride extract is dried and exchanged to methanol during concentration to a volume of 5 mL or less. Liquid chromatographic conditions are described which permit the separation and measurement of the compounds in the extract by HPLC using an ultraviolet detector (UVD). |
