Be careful not to burn your cauldron!
When you burn a cauldron, not only are there burn marks, but also food stuck or even encrusted.
We don’t always know how to go about cleaning the cauldron properly, but fortunately, there are some homemade tricks. Here are 10 tips for cleaning a burnt cauldron.
Tips for cleaning a burnt cauldron:
1. Boil Vinegar to Clean a Burnt Cauldron
Pour vinegar into your burnt and stained cauldron and bring this mixture to a boil. Then cover the cauldron and wait for it to cool. Drain the vinegar, rinse and simply wash the inside of the cauldron to finish.
2. Boil bleach
Mix ¼ of bleach with ¼ of water and pour everything into the cauldron. Boil and wait for stuck or burnt food to loosen. Throw everything away and rinse the cauldron in the dishwasher to be sure to remove all traces of bleach, it’s very important!
3. Use baking soda
Pour baking soda into the bottom of your burnt cauldron and add 2cm of water. Boil for 1 minute and clean the bottom of the cauldron to loosen everything.
4. Pour lemon juice
Simply pour in some lemon juice, let sit, and vigorously scrub the bottom of your burnt-on cauldron to clean everything up and peel off easily.
5. Add salt to the burnt cauldron
When you clean your burnt cauldron, add salt to your water. It will be easier to peel off or detach the burnt cauldron.
6. Use wood ash
Another grandma’s trick for cleaning and scrubbing a burnt-out cauldron is to use the power of wood ashes. Rub your cauldron with a little wood ash and a brush to remove stains very quickly.
7. Mix with soda crystals
Add a few soda crystals to hot water and rub the bottom of the cauldron well to easily loosen the burnt crusts.
8. Scrape with laundry detergent
If your burnt cauldron has food stuck on, you can scrub with hot water and laundry detergent. A very simple trick to take off the rest of the burnt food in the bottom of the cauldron.
9. Aspirin!
Pour lukewarm water into the burnt cauldron and add a little vinegar with a few tablets of aspirin and leave to act overnight. Your burnt cauldron will be much easier to clean later.
10. Boil salt
Pour water into your cauldron, add salt and bring to the boil for a few minutes to clean everything and loosen it at the bottom of the pan.
