How to never be sick?

Some people get sick all the time, while others very rarely! It could be a matter of luck, bad luck, circumstances, immune system, exposure and so much more! In winter, we are even more at risk of catching viruses associated with the joys of this cold season!

Of course, no one wants to get sick! Are you the type to get sick more often than others? Follow our tips and tricks to never get sick or at least rarely get sick!

1. Probiotics to avoid getting sick

Probiotics are good bacteria that support our intestinal flora. As taking care of your digestive system boosts immunity, consuming probiotics is ideal for staying healthy and falling ill less often.

Make a habit of regularly consuming products containing probiotics such as yogurts, juices fortified with probiotics, fermented foods and others.

2. Eat spicy to stay healthy

Spices, a well-kept secret of people who rarely get sick! Indeed, some spices contribute to iron health, so don’t be afraid to add some to your favorite dishes, especially in winter when the cold weather arrives.

Dried peppers, ginger, turmeric are spices that not only activate your blood circulation, but they can also protect you from certain diseases including cancer.

3. Drink green tea to avoid getting sick

Green tea is great for your overall health so why not incorporate it into your morning routine?

Indeed, green tea helps to stimulate the immune system, and therefore protects us against certain serious diseases. Drink at least one cup of quality green tea every day to take advantage of its benefits and thus not be sick anymore or almost sick anymore.

4. Wash your hands so you don’t get sick

Handwashing is probably the most sensible tip to never get sick. Indeed, several diseases are transmitted by the hands:

  • Common cold
  • Flu
  • Gastro
  • Bronchitis

Wash your hands several times a day, for a few minutes each time, to eliminate the bacteria responsible for many health problems. Using a sanitizer is not always necessary, hand soap will do just fine if you wash your hands thoroughly.

5. Ventilate the house to avoid getting sick

Even, and especially in winter, get into the habit of airing your home every day. The air there quickly becomes dry and stale, increasing the risk of transmission of certain diseases.

So, open the windows wide for a few minutes a day to let in fresh air and evacuate stale air. Of course, if you have an air exchanger at home, it’s important to keep it working in order to change the air quickly and efficiently.

6. Clean and disinfect the house

If a member of your family has recently been ill, remember to thoroughly clean and disinfect everything they may have touched: door frames and handles, taps, fridge and oven handles, etc.

To do this, dilute bleach in hot water, and rub all over. Allow to air dry. A simple trick but oh so effective against bacteria and benign diseases.

People who are never sick

often have in common the fact that they are active all year round. Without necessarily becoming an elite athlete, get into the habit of walking 20 to 30 minutes a day, regardless of the temperature.

In winter, why not go sledding with the kids, or go skating? Being in shape and practicing physical exercises will help you be less sick, especially in winter!

8. Sleep well to avoid getting sick

When you lack sleep, you weaken your body’s defenses! You therefore become an easy target for all infections and various diseases. It is said that on average, the human body needs 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night. So sleep and restore strength and energy to your body.

9. Eat better so you don’t get sick

How not to get sick in winter? Eat better! Improve your diet by adding fresh, vitamin-packed produce, say goodbye to hard-to-digest meats and bad fats, and increase your intake of whole-grain cereals, legumes, and fish.

If your diet doesn’t allow you to get all the minerals and vitamins your body needs to stay healthy, turn to supplements. The most useful are vitamin C and vitamin D. The latter is also necessary for those who live in regions that lack light in winter.

10. Reduce stress so you don’t get sick

Too much stress quickly exhausts the body and its defense mechanisms. Sign up for yoga lessons, meditation, take the time to enjoy life! Why not treat yourself a little with a massage therapy session every week?

If necessary, rearrange your schedule to devote more time to activities that make you feel good. You will see, you will never be able to say  » I often fall ill »!
