How to make cleaning and disinfecting wipes?
More and more of us are paying attention to our environment and the objects around us. So why not make your own homemade cleansing wipes?
10-Trucs presents today 2 recipes for super easy cleansing wipes to make at home with just a few ingredients.
1. Which fabric to use to make cleaning wipes?
Before talking about the ingredients of the recipe, we must of course find and prepare the wipes. But now, what to use or rather what fabric to use?
You can collect and use different fabrics such as:
- old t shirts
- old bed sheets or pillowcases
- old bath towels, etc.
It is important to clean the pieces of fabric in the washing machine before recovering them and transforming them into a cleaning wipe for the home.
2. Cleansing wipes with white vinegar and essential oil
Here is a first recipe for cleaning wipes to clean and deodorize the house. You need to:
- 6 tablespoons of white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons black soap
- 10 drops of lemon essential oil
- 10 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
- 1 cup boiled water
Pour and mix all the liquids in an airtight container and add the wipes you just made. Stir and let stand to thoroughly soak the pieces of fabric with the cleaning solution.
Once well impregnated with the liquid, remove the pieces of tissue and place them in a plastic container with an airtight lid.
The most important ingredient in this recipe is white vinegar which acts as a powerful disinfectant and limescale remover.
3. Cleansing wipes with paper towels
Even easier and quicker to do, why not just use paper towels to make your cleaning wipes? You need to:
- 1 cup hot water
- 6 tablespoons of vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap
Pour and mix all the ingredients in a plastic container and soak the paper towels with the mixture. The cleaning wipes will keep for several days in an airtight container.
You can add 10 drops of lavender essential oil to disguise the vinegar smell in this recipe.
